 The last free version of the list server is/was 6.0c (recently updated
to 6.0d). The proper name for the non-commercial version at this
point is Listproc rather than the other name (short for "list processor").
 
However, many sites continue to *accept* mail at [log in to unmask]
so that massive mail bounces do not occur. Probably that's the
source of the confusion.
