Subject: Cartographic Materials on Cataloger's Desktop!

Please excuse me for not holding back to let the appropriate party make the
announcement, but I'm so excited I have to share this news that I just got
from the Cataloger's Desktop Forum via NYPL's technical services
administration. "Cartographic Materials: A Manual of Interpretation for
AACR2, 2002 Revision," edited by Elizabeth Mangan, is now part of the Web
version of Cataloger's Desktop. This is great news for map catalogers and
for very part-time map catalogers because of the efficiency it will promote
with so many wonderful links and everything at the fingertips. But of
course it's great to have the hardcopy for flipping through and annotating,
as well. Thanks to all whose hard work made this possible!
