Dear MAPS-L Contributors: I need to know if the 1:24,000 sheets which have
been modified for USDA Forest Service use (specifically emphasizing the
National Forest displayed on it) is the only sheet we will receive for that
place. In the past we have put those modified sheets in a special "national
forests" part of our library. I seem to understand (intentionally vague) that
U.S.G.S. and the U.S.D.A. Forest Service were to come to some agreement about
putting out only one sheet for a particular place but that the sheet would
include some emphasis on the national forest. Is this the case or not? I have
some relatively recent maps like this, and I would like to handle them just
once by putting them in our collection in the most sensible place. If two
sheets are being put out for the same place, I will follow the procedure
established in the past. Thanks your your help in advance. I appreciate all
the help I can get. If you need more info: [log in to unmask]
