There are a couple of avenues you could try to get PNG maps.
i) A.G.P.S. (Australian Government Printing Service)
        G.P.O.Box 84
        CANBERRA ACT 2601
        Fax: (06) 295 4888
ii) A.M.F. (Australian Mineral Foundation)
        63 Conyngham St
        GLENSIDE S.A. 5065
        Fax: (08) 379 4634
        Attention: Bookshop

I use both of those for any maps I need. I would use the girls at AMF as
they have a very good idea of whats around.
We have the US Navigational charts listed as our latest topo maps for PNG.
There is a publisher called Pacific Press that handles most of the Pacific
and Oceanea area their address is 17 Park Ave. Broadbeach Waters QLD 4218
Fax: (075) 384114

Hope this helps
Regards
