Dear Map Folks,

While this map has been available for a little while many people may not
be aware of its existence. Until recently the only general maps of Haiti
alone were actually Hispaniola maps including the Dominican Republic.

Haiti map by the French IGN at scale 1:300,000 and NAD 27 datum and
Universal Transverse Mercator projection with Clarke Ellipsoid of 1866.
This 1999 edition map of Haiti is an excellent example of 16 SPOT
satellite images in mosaic (1990 editions) and conventional map
information. The SPOT image clearly shows vegetation differences while
the transportation network, administrative boundaries and protected
animal species are shown with lines and many unique symbols. The map
legend is in French and English and there is an inset map of the
different Departments or administrative boundaries. Price CAN$ 16.95
Unfolded dimensions 43"x34" and printed all on one side.
