HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER! One of those inetersting geographic
        "Things." Tropic of Cancer etc.

I need your assistance in locating information about a Colonel and
Engineer named FRANCISCO VELA. I know that he was born in 1859 and
died 1909 and worked in Guatemala in 1904 - 1905. He created the
"Mapa en Relieve" in Guatemala City.

Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of LC's Bibliography of
Cartography and have not checked there yet. I would appreciate
someone checking that publication for me. I do plan to search
LOCIS today. Tooley's list of map makers does not include Vela.

This is just the beginning of some research on Vela and I would
most appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.
