Alice [et al.]:

A few pitiful scraps of my knowledge:-

1) there is no LIBER GdC web-master at present;
2) Jan Werner, Map Curator at Amsterdam University Library
[[log in to unmask]], may have more photographs than the one which he
e-mailed me (and to our 2 Russian colleagues) showing a group looking at
one of the two displays I arranged for the afternoon visit here;
3) the UK Report for 2004-06 is still being completed (indeed, I sent
addenda only this Monday) - and this Report may appear in a publication
and form different from the recent past;
4) 53 delegates were listed for the Cambridge (England!) 2004
Conference; the total registered with GdC is unknown to me (whenever
I've sent a Group e-mail I get at least a half-dozen 'Unknown' bounced
responses from those who've left or who have not informed of address
changes);
5) a couple of colleagues who are members of both LIBER GdC and BCS Map
Curators' Group are today at a meeting in London (England) of BRICMICS
(sorry about all these acronyms) and will not be back at their official
posts until tomorrow (Thursday); after which one may expect some
better-informed news.

In the interim . . .

Francis the Pitiful

Post 2004, I see no new info on the website for this group. Is it still
functioning, and how many members are there?

Jan? or whoever might know, please respond to the list,others may be
interested.

many thanks, Alice
