The editorship of Cartographic Perspectives seeks your articles
specifically related to map librarianship. Cartographic Perspectives
<http://www.nacis.org/cp.html>, (ISSN: 1048-9085), is the scholarly
journal of the North American Cartographic Information Society or NACIS
<http://www.nacis.org/>. This journal is published triannually and
features articles from a very wide range of cartographic knowledge. I
invite you, who are involved in library map collections, to tell your
story. Tell us about a conference or workshop you have recently
attended. Submit your research papers. Many articles in past issues have
described map collections in great detail, from their histories to
circulation policies to notable collections within. We all want to know
how other institutions deal with issues such as cataloging, storage,
maintenance, etc. So please consider contributing your article to the
editor of the Map Library Bulletin Board section of Cartographic
Perspectives, contact information provided below.

The North American Cartographic Information Society, founded in 1980, is
an organization comprised of specialists from private, academic, and
government organizations whose common interest lies in facilitating
communication in the map information community. NACIS is a professional
society open to specialists from North America, including Canada, the
United States, Mexico, the nations of Central and Middle America as well
as to individuals from other regions and organizations throughout the
world.

Please forward submissions preferably via email attachment as a MS Word
.doc format to [log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>, or in the
body of an email. Other formats may be considered on a case by case
basis. Submissions via postal mail are gladly accepted and should be
sent to me at RBD Library, 231 Mell St., Auburn University, AL 36849-5606.

Thanks
