Subject: soil maps for Cuba, Iran and Zimbabwe

I have a research group looking for the following information. If you have
any suggestions please contact Pat Donovan directly.

We are interested in locating soil maps or reference information for soils
in Cuba, Iran and Zimbabwe for a soil landscape analysis research
project. We will be using GIS so if digital datasets are available that
would be our preference. We have already located the digital soils data
available from the UN-Food and Agriculture Organization which are anywhere
from 1:1 million to 1:5 million in scale and are interested in something
larger scale than this (1:500,000 or ideally <= 1:250,000). Because we are
having some difficulty finding county-wide maps at this scale, we are also
interested in small areas within these countries (watersheds, provinces)
that have been mapped with greater detail from research projects, theses,
dissertations, etc. Any help you could provide would be greatly
appreciated. Thank you.
