I saw a recent message to the list about inexpensive maps for the Palm
pilot and also have received a new product here that may be of interest
to members of the list.

The City Sync by Lonely Planet is a CD-ROM designed to load onto your
computer and then transfer the information to your PDA. The platforms
supported are Palm III, PalmV, Palm VII, IBM WorkPad and the Handspring
Visor series.

The package includes San Francisco, Paris, New York, London, Sydney, Las
Vegas, Hong Kong, Bangkok Chicago and other cities being added to the
list. You pay CAN$ 77.50 (about US$ 55.00) for the CD-ROM and select any
4 of the listed cities. A bonus 5th city is included for free if you
register at the Citysync website. Additional cities can also be
purchased via the internet website www.citysync.com

The product includes travel guide book information and CitySync
scrollable street maps. The maps show hotel, restaurants, attractions
and night spots that are labeled on each map. The maps themselves look
very schematic (I checked the area of London that I am familiar with)
and coverage is ok, some addresses are shown and important cross
streets,  while not amazing detail  it is an indication of interesting
