This could be a first (Or at least a first for me to see):

Last night on ABC News in their analysis leading up to today's
elections, they showed a U.S. map indicating states "leaning to Gore or
leaning to bush" and then  transformed it into a cartogram weighted by
electoral votes.  COOL!
