Position Summary
The success of Autodesk’s third party developer community is of major
importance to Autodesk. We are looking for an enthusiastic person who
wants to work in a high tech team that provides technical consulting
to Autodesk partners world-wide (mainly third party developers). The
major part of your task consists of developing pro-active support
material (sample code, short documents), handling technical queries
via email and the web and preparing and conducting technical seminars
and training.
Responsibilities
Answering software development questions about AutoCAD Map and
Autodesk MapGuide from Autodesk GIS partners. Developing sample code
to demonstrate how to make the most of the APIs and SDKs. Visiting
important developers, to help them use the SDK and to understand its
benefits. Representing developer positions and support issues in the
core development team. Helping to channel developer input about future
directions of the product. Evangelising the Products’ development
capabilities through publications, conferences, training, etc.
Requirements
GIS industry experience or familiarity with Autodesk GIS products.
Proficiency in C, C++, Java, VB, JavaScript and HTML programming. Good
written and verbal knowledge of English. Good interpersonal
communication and presentation skills in multi-cultural environments.
Teamwork skills, sharing responsibilities with team members in
different time zones. Good understanding of the development process.
Windows (Win API/MFC) and COM programming. Experience developing
applications for AutoCAD Map, Autodesk MapGuide or Autodesk World.
Experience developing applications with AutoCAD ObjectARX and LISP
programming. Familiarity with technologies such as CGI, internet
client/server environments, etc. Technical support or consulting
experience.
