                    INTERESTED IN DEPOSITORY LIBRARY COUNCIL?
                                Deadline--December 1, 1999

          The Depository Library Council is an advisory board to the Public Printer of the United States. Are you interested in being considered for possible nomination or do you wish to suggest someone else for consideration as a nominee? If so, please fill out the application form at the GODORT homepage: www.lib.berkeley.edu/GODORT/nom_dlc or use the text  version below,  and send it to the Chair of the Nominating Committee by December 1, 1999. Please note,  resumes cannot be substituted for the application form. The GODORT Steering Committee will select up to five names at the Midwinter Meeting. Names of the selected nominees will be forwarded to the ALA Executive Board for their consideration and submission to the Public Printer.

Please note: Recommendation by GODORT for Depository Library Council (DLC) in no way implies an appointment will be made. All appointments are made by the Public Printer of the U. S.  Consult the DLC Home Page  for information on the DLC Charter and the makeup of the current  Council.

DLC Nominations are judged by GODORT Steering Committee members on the following criteria:
1.      Direct current experience relating to the Federal Depository Library Program.
        2.      Regular attendance at state, regional, local or national professional meetings of documents                                    librarians.
        3.      Demonstrated ability to work in a group and to follow through on professional obligations.
4. Knowledge of current information technologies.
5. Familiarity with the current policies or operational issues relating to the Federal Depository Library Program.
