An offbeat public relations activity happened *to* branch libraries here.
 
During the last term, a student organization staged a sort of treasure hunt
foot race around the campus.  Only a small number of students came through
the collection, seeking a clue that was hidden in the Michigan state maps
drawer.  Don't know if they were the elite who followed their clues as far
as our library and map room, or were the entire number of contestants.
Music and Engineering Libraries had been visited before ours.
 
I cannot explain, apologise or claim any credit for this event (in case any
of my supervisors or directors are reading)
