Subject: B. F. Stevens facsimile British headquarters map 1782/1900

Dear mapsters,

Any one know if there are copies of this map out there in the world?

I know the original is in British Archives, but restrictions on its use
make me want to find the facsimile.

We have two copies, one of which in the last year, oddly, has deteriorated
terribly. The other copy, in better condition, was, in the fashion of the
day, cut to fold into a book format. [ Horrors, it's a map--turn it into a
book, right away! ] That was probably done in the 1920s or 30s, if not
sooner. sigh.

Would love to find a one piece, uncut copy for scanning, etc.

Alice

p.s. It is not a true facsimile, but a redrawing, with many differences
from the original manuscript. Still useful though.
