Hi:
I'm working with a visiting scholar who is interested in getting a scanned copy of the following:
Loan Title: Syria 1:50,000. /
Loan Author: United States. Army Map Service.
Imprint: The Service,, Washington, D.C. :, 1960
Map sheet: Katana
He tried requesting it through ILL and his request was denied because the item is non-circulating and
Unavailable for loan.

I noticed that there seems to be only 8 sheets that are available for the
Syria 1:50,000 sheets that you were interested in. Here's the map sheets
that are listed in the catalog record for the series:
Contents: 3255.1. Ezraa -- 3255:2. Deraa -- 3255:4. Cheïkh meskine --
3256:1. Damas (Sud) -- 3256:3. Sanameïne -- 3256:4. Katana -- 3257:2. Damas
(Nord) --3257:3. Zebdani.
Which ones will cover the area you are interested in? I'm not sure why they
cancelled your ILL request and didn't provide the option of making
photocopies for you. At the UA when we have a request for a map, our first
option is to make a photocopy.
