Just received the Scholar's Bookshelf catalog for History and several
mappy titles are there with good prices. I am not an agent for Scholar's
bookshelf, but I am an agent for cost saving when I see it... and some of
these are real surprises. I was told Cartographia was o.p.

Atlas of Atlantis and other lost civilizations $24.95
Historical atlas of ancient Mesopotamia 2003 $19.95
Atlas of Medieval Europe 2007 19.95
Vinland map and Tartar relation 1995 ed. $18.95
Historical atlas of exploration 2007 $19.95
Schilder. Three World maps. $49.50
Schilder. Van den Keere $49.50.
Schilder. Hondius/Visscher $49.50
Virga. Cartographia. $47.95
Ciment. Atlas of African american history. 2007 $24.95
Garver. Surveying the Shore:Historic maps of coastal Massachusetts 2006
$24.95
Andrew Robinson. The Story of Measurement. 2007 $34.95
The Ghost Map. 2007 $15.00
Measuring the World. [Novel, comic fiction about Humboldt & Gauss, who knew
they were funny?] 2007 $14.95

They have a website so you can follow up if interested:

OK, that was my nice librarian fix for the day, now I can face my public in
a properly rude way. Can only be nice for sooo many minutes a day.       ;
