Has your collection acquired a really cool map that you’d like to tell
others about? Have you implemented some new service that turned out to
be very popular? Redesigned your space? Changed your workflow? Got a new
donor or grant? Is there something about your collection that you’d like
to share with others?

Well, we’d like to offer you the chance to do just that.

Cartographic Perspectives is the journal of the North American
Cartographic Information Society (NACIS). One of the regular features is
the Cartographic Collections section. As the editor of this section, I
am writing to invite people to submit articles for publication.

Cartographic Collections is designed to showcase one map collection in
each issue. The general guidelines call for 1,000 to 2,000 words and may
include up to 10 photographs. The articles usually include a brief
history of the collection being highlighted.

All map collections are welcome regardless of type, size, focus, or
affiliation. You do not have to be a member of NACIS to participate.

If you are interested or would like more information, please contact me
off list.

Thank you,

Terri
