Thank you everyone who replied to my inquiry. Based on Sanborns and
other sources, no one confirmed the existence of Turkey Drive. I've
forwarded the patron to the University of Louisville Libraries Reference
department to check city directories.

Has your patron tried the Polk's directory for that city? You can find names of people by address. I don't know if the directory itself has a map in it but it could prove helpful.

RE MAPS-L: Louisville Street address from 1920's

I have a patron doing genealogy who is looking for an address in Louisville. The address was given on a death certificate from the 1920's. The address is: 968 Turkey Dr, Louisville

I've done some initial checking of maps that we have here with little success. I did find a Turquoise Dr (or Way) southwest of Iroquois Park - but it doesn't seem to appear on maps until the 1960's.

Can any Kentucky friends on the list tap into your resources to help determine if there was or wasn't a Turkey Drive back in the 20's?

Thanks.

Angie
