"International Perspectives: A View of Map & Geography Libraries, Their
Collections and Services Worldwide"
*
The /Journal of Map & Geography Libraries/ publishes international,
peer-reviewed research on the collecting, organization, and utilization
of geographic and cartographic materials and information. The journal is
currently seeking manuscripts for two special issues to be published in
2014 in the following two areas:
1. A review and analysis of the changes in the organization and
administration of map and geographic information libraries,
collections and repositories, including the staffing, collection
policies and access methods over approximately the past 10 years,
with a look at possibilities into the future.
2. Geospatial-based collections, programs and initiatives representing
worldwide perspectives, such as from national libraries, archives
and those serving patrons and users of geospatial information of all
types, including paper or digital cartographic materials.
The co-editors are looking for both forward-thinking discussions and
practical applications in these two areas. |Click here for more details

*DEADLINES:*
One-page proposals on either subject should be submitted to

line of “Special Issue Proposal” by September 1, 2013. Decisions will be
communicated by September 15, 2013. Manuscripts are due by November 4,
