Hi!

The IGN Institut Geographique National of France has both 1 KM and 500
metre DEMS of France. The products are called:
BD ALTI(r) 500m, BD ALTI(r) 1000m. Both products can be download for
free on the IGN website.

Good afternoon:

I have a student who is looking for DEMs for France. He's already found
DEMs with resolution of 1 km but would like something more detailed.
He's found more detailed DEMs but is looking for a free source.

Any ideas?
