The Bat Cave, NC 1:24,000-scale topographic map was made by the
Tennessee Valley Authority and the symbol that they used isn't in USGS
specifications. We contacted TVA and they said that it is some type of
transmission line, probably a telephone line. They used the symbol in
early mapping before they determined that it was impossible to keep up
with all of the transmission lines.

Sure looks like telephone poles to me, but that
symbol is not on the Topo Map Symbols (Part 5)
that I have. Anybody know what those T's are?
