Subject: Filling in a hole in the maps


I recently jumped in to fill in an unusual hole in the global non-oceanic Landsat mosaic that was eliciting vast conspiracy theories, and in the process, educated a few people about remote sensing a bit.


I thought the backstory might make entertaining reading.
