I have a patron who is trying to establish the precise coordinates
of a settlment called Szapciszki (Polish name) or Shaptishki
(Russian name) in the volost' of Kobyl'nik (54 56 N / 26 41 E)
in Belarus.  The settlement is listed in the "Russisches Geograph-
isches Namenbuch" (vol. 10, page 222).  The name MAY have been
changed to Zasc or something similar.  Can anyone supply latitude
and longitude and/or a photocopy of a map showing the location of
this settlement?  Thank you for any clues you can provide!
