                         Library Closed July 11-17
 
 
The USGS Reston Library will be closed to all users beginning
Thursday, July 11 through Wednesday, July 17, 1996.
 
During this period new walls will be constructed to create office
space for the Biological Research Division (BRD). Part of the
collection will be moved to the library's basement space, while
another part is moved to the Herndon Warehouse. Reference
and Circulation desks, copiers, public workstations, card
catalog, and new book shelf table will be relocated within the
library so that a hallway can be constructed to connect the main
elevators and the BRD space with the rest of the 4th floor.
 
There will be no access to the 4th floor through the library
during this time.
 
The Cartographic Information Center and the Minerals
Information Collection in the basement will continue normal
operations.
 
The Library will reopen on Thursday, July 18. Thank you for
bearing with us.
