Apologies for cross-posting .............

MAPS, ASTROLABES, & CALLIGRAPHY: a study day on Oxford University's
Islamic Collections

Saturday 30 October 2004
13.30 to 17.30

The study day will start and end at the Ashmolean Museum. Experts wil
present guided tours of Islamic displays in the Ashmolean Museum, the
Museum of the History of Science and the Bodleian Library, where a
curator will conduct a private viewing of the exhibition, 'Medieval
Views of the Cosmos'.

There will be some walking between venues, and a small charge for
refreshments.
