Subject: climate maps for U.S. West
Sender: "Jane Ely (Echo Services Inc)" <[log in to unmask]>

Hello All, and Happy New Year!
I am posting this to maps-l from Chris Daly. This is in response to
the query in December about climate maps for western U.S. states.

>Here at the OSU Spatial Climate Analysis Service (SCAS) we
>have some color wall maps that should fill the bill. They
>cover the entire lower 48 states for mean annual
>precipitation, temperature, and snowfall. Any other
>ones would have to be made through a custom order.
>The maps sell for $50 apiece. These are original
>prints fresh off the plotter, not copies. Contact
>Chris Hannan at [log in to unmask] to put in an order.

>Also, go to http://www.ocs.orst.edu and click on the picture
>of the climate map in the lower part of the page to
>go to a great area where we sell individual
>state precipitation maps for 48 states. These are full color, with
>roads, cities, etc. They are also right off the
>plotter, not copies, and sell for $23.95 apiece, plus
>$6.00 shipping.

>Finally, we are distributing all kinds of new SCAS spatial
>climate data sets on CD-ROM through The Climate Source
>(http://www.climatesource.com). These are GIS compatible and
>great for classrooms and libraries where a GIS such as ARCView is
>installed.
>
>The OSU Spatial Climate Analysis Service is the nation's
>premiere climate mapping center. All of our maps
>represent the state of the art in this discipline.
>To learn more about the SCAS and download free data,
>go to http://www.ocs.orst.edu/prism/

>Best wishes,
