Hello,

My name is Tom Huber and I'm a map librarian at the Illinois State Library in Springfield, Illinois. I'm mostly a lurker here, but I'm popping up to offer a link to our new on-line collection of Illinois highway maps produced by the Secretary of State's office. The Illinois State Library is a division of the Secretary of State's office, which is why road maps produced exclusively by the Illinois Department of Transportation and it's predecessors are not included. The maps were all scanned at 400 dpi (including verso) and the files are in JPEG2000 format. The software we use is ContentDM, and while it allows one to download images (with a few clicks), they are not full resolution. So if you would like copies of the files you will need to get both from me. The raw TIF files run $5 for the first five files; afterward the cost will be $2 per image. Please contact me for these files or if you have any other questions.
