Colleagues -

The Harvard Map Collection will be taking advantage of the coming Holiday
period to begin its renovations. There will be several days from 22
December 1999 through 18 January 2000 that the Collection will be closed
and have restricted hours. If anyone is planning to visit the Collection
during this period they are urged to check with us for specific hours.

These renovations are only the beginning of a two year phased in update of
facilities and HVAC systems and we hope that inconveniences can be kept to
a minimum. We will come through this with a more modern and enjoyable
facility.
