Thank you all for the responses.  I didn't know
the T/R location system did not apply to
TN or KY or other eastern states.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here, but TN was not a part of the
township and range system?

Hi Paige,

Yes, that's correct...Tennessee was part of the State Land States,
therefore didn't participate in the Public Lands Survey System (PLSS)
where township and range was used.
