You might also want to look at his "Computer-Assisted Map Projection
Research", USGS Bulletin 1629, published in 1985.  It is available from USGS
Denver for $6 a copy.  If you send me a postal or fax address I'll send you a
copy of the Table of Contents.  Also, you probably could see both
publications at a "Government Publications Depository Library" which include
most large university libraries and some large public libraries.
