Some information about BLM maps is online at http://store.ca.blm.gov/webc/webc.cgi/st_main.html BLM and USFS do work together with geographic data http://www.blm.gov/nils/ but I haven't seen the phrase "primary base series" used for BLM maps. I do appreciate any info anyone can give me! I had a patron yesterday requesting a particular USGS topo quad of the "primary base series". He said these types of maps had been done in the last 15 years showing BLM type information - such as mining claims and ownership - on 7.5" topos. I didn't know this was a series and we didn't have the quad he wanted though he said it had been completed so I'm not sure of the info he provide me. Would there be a list, or would these be noted in a guide somewhere? Can anyone give me insight to this series? I'd love as little or as much info as you can provide. You can email me directly with responses.... Thanks!
