Can any one point me to a site that will allow me to download the orthophoto for free? Not http://www.terraserver.microsoft.com/. If any library has the said area's orthophoto in CD-ROM and wanted to make it accessible to us through FTP or server site I would really appreciate. I strongly feel that all the orthophotos of US should be made freely accessible to depository library by cutting CDs or DVDs and distributing them or by creating a site for downloading the data for free. USGS is making various excuses of not distributing one of the best GIS data sources to a public. Orthophotos are the main source of information for updating various topographic maps. Not only this they are also used for updating various GIS data sources such as landuse. Anyway, I don't know, what is the best way to deal with this situation. Any ideas?? Is there any USGS guy who could advise us? Thanks. -Wangyal Tsering Wangyal Shawa Geographic Information Systems Librarian Digital Map and Geospatial Information Center Geosciences and Map Library Guyot Hall, Princeton University Princeton, NJ 08544 Phone: (609) 258-6804 Fax: (609) 258-4607 www.princeton.edu/~geolib/gis --- End Forwarded Message ---
