CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS for the Second Int'l Conference on GIS in Education June 21-23, 2001 San Bernardino, California Dear Colleague, Last summer, the first International Conference on GIS in Education was held at California State University, San Bernardino. The inaugural conference was quite successful and attracted 280 participants from 8 countries and 40 states. CSUSB is pleased to announce plans to host a second conference this summer, and we invite you to participate by submitting a proposal for a presentation. CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS We encourage you to submit a proposal to make a presentation at the 2nd International Conference on GIS in Education. Presentations will be selected through a peer review process. In developing your proposal, please consider the following guidelines: - Presentations should encourage and promote interactive involvement with the audience. - Presentations should utilize critical thinking and problem solving where appropriate. - The written description you provide will be used as a marketing method to attract people to your presentation; a good description clearly conveys what participants can expect to gain from your presentation and why they should attend. Proposals will be selected using the following criteria: - Quality and completeness of description - The relevance of content to conference theme - Application of content to practice - Explanation of what the participant will gain by attending your session TO PROPOSE A PRESENTATION: Please follow the specific instructions below.
