Tucked away in our off-site storage facility, I found Transportation Maps of 43 states, each wrapped in brown paper and tied with a document knot! Since I was not certain what they were, I tried to track them down in OCLC - and found 68 records in OCLC referring to various versions of the "Federal aid highway system progress map". The dates vary - some seem to be corrected to dates in the 30's; others in the 40's. The scales are a combination of 1:25,000 and 1:50,000. The number of sheets in each set vary as well. With a few exceptions, the packages measure 10" x 16".

At any rate - I would like to offer up all of them to public libraries - without having to undo the knots and repackage them! First come, first served - pls send mailing address.
