A portion of our corporate map library is currently stored
on shelves made of pressed particle board.  As I understand
it, the acid in these boards will damage the paper maps
stored on them over time.  I have considered covering the
shelves with contact paper or vinyl cupboard lining; or
maybe painting the shelves with some sort of clearcoat would
be another solution.  Any recommendations would be much
appreciated.  I am certain one of you has previously
researched this and found a good solution.
