Please send any suggestions to Mr. Cleary (a grad student). There are many available and I am curious which has the better reputation for accuracy and range of entries. I am interested in historic place names from the mid 19th and early 20th centuries. I'm also interested in which might be better for foreign language place names - German, French, Italian, and even Latin. I have tried several but need to know if there are more and what the consensus is on their utility, range, and accuracy. I have already looked into the Alexandria Project atlas, the Global Gazetteer, and a NIMA atlas. Any help or suggestions that you could provide would be most appreciated. Thanks...
