It examines the question: is the Dust Bowl returning? A current severe drought in the historic area of the 1930's Dust Bowl is reminding some old-timers of the historic Dust Bowl. This webpage features a map of the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma that was surveyed and drawn by the Oklahoma Erosion Survey in 1934. It was published by the U.S. Soil Conservation Service. The webpage also links to a 1936 report on the drought in the Great Plains states, and to current information about the drought in the U.S. and Oklahoma. http://www.odl.state.ok.us/usinfo/dustbowl/index.htm Steve Beleu Regional Depository Librarian --- End Forwarded Message ---
