Am I correct in believing that we are not yet permitted to enter decimal degrees in the MARC 034 field in OCLC? No examples of this practice are given in OCLC's MARC field help, but there are examples in LC's MARC 21 Concise Format for Bibliographic Data at:
http://lcweb.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/
OCLC CatME will validate decimal degrees using + and - and 3 decimal points. But carrying out the decimal degrees to 4 decimal points gives a "too long" error message. The LC examples show 5 decimal points.
