A nineteenth century map of the "Bible Lands," would not be a primary source for someone studying the Middle East in antiquity. It would be a primary source for someone studying nineteenth-century conceptions of the past, or studying nineteenth-century printing techniques. David Allen Map Librarian Stony Brook University
