-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Dating a reproduction moscow city plan Date: Thu, 19 Feb 2004 11:15:21 +1100 From: [log in to unmask] ------------------ Hello, We have discovered an uncatalogued facsimile map of Moscow in our collection, and would like to put a date to it, for use by current client. title: PLAN GORODA MOSKVY S PRIGORODAMI copyright info: PKO, "Kartografii", 1991 (there is further Russian bibliog stuff onthe bottom of the map, but my russian isn't up to trans-lating/-literating it. It's a colour map of Moscow, 101x71cm, probably c.1900, showing streets,districts/suburbs (coloured), railways, etc, with an inset of the Kremlin in the bottom right and of what appears to be a park and railroad junction in the bottom left. There is no visible date, apart from the 1991 date of reproduction. Does anyone have a copy in their collection that has been dated? The only online reference I can find is a cached page from an online russian bookseller, but there's hardly any info apart from the title and price: http://www.setbook.ru/php/ishop_eng/popular.phtml?category=556&ptype=3.
