Thanks in advance if you're able to assist in any way. They're relatively small (in the 8.5 x 11 to 11 x 14 range), come in a wide range of scales, and each has an apparently unique alphanumeric code. They depict features (both man-made and natural) pertinent to a particular WB endeavor/project. For example: * Bangladesh (1982): Ashuganj Power Project [IBRD 14182 R1] * Cameroon (1984): Third Hevecam Rubber Project [IBRD 18369] * India (1983): Bombay Urban Development Project [IBRD 17586] * Yemen (1983): IDA Assisted Projects by Sector [IBRD 17290] Based on what I've seen on WorldCat and the WB's "Projects" database, they maps *appear* to be part of WB project reports (e.g., "Staff appraisal report: India Tamil Nadu water supply and sanitation project"). Alas, *very* few libraries--usually 1, according to WorldCat--have these reports, so that assumption isn't easily confirmed. Can anybody speak to the significance, prevalence or provenance of these maps? (We're trying to decide if the 30+ that we have are worth keeping.) Thanks very much. mf -- Michael Fry Government Documents & Maps Librarian University of Maryland Libraries
