-------- Original Message -------- Subject: RE: Delisle Island,. Thailand Date: Thu, 22 Feb 2007 15:54:08 -0000 From: Jamieson, David <[log in to unmask]> To: Maps, Air Photo & Geospatial Systems Forum <[log in to unmask]> The 1966 Gazetteer of Thailand prepared in the Office of Geography, Dept of the Interior, Washington D.C. gives the following coordinates for Phayam, Ko: North 9 deg 44min / East 98 deg 25min. For Delisle Island it says: see Phayam, Ko For both Koh Piam and Goh Piam it also says: see Phayam, Ko The ONC-K9 (7th edition) also locates it at these same coordinates. This would suggest names relate to one island and that it is located NW of Kapoe. David Jamieson: Map Librarian HarperCollins Publishers Ltd. So Francis' two references are to the same island (possibly split over two sheets, hence the different lat/longs?) Thank you for the help!
