-------- Original Message -------- Subject: Los Angeles County Historic Topo maps Date: Sat, 24 Feb 2007 10:42:49 -0800 From: Matt Fox <[log in to unmask]> To: Maps, Air Photo & Geospatial Systems Forum <[log in to unmask]> I've finally finished this collection of historic topo maps for Google Earth. 150 high resolution maps covering all 4,000 square miles of Los Angeles County from 1920s through the 1940s. Google Earth is perfect for these since you can adjust the transparency of the maps to compare current day aerials with what was there 80 years ago. You can also overlay the maps with current roads and buildings. Google Earth 4 is required. Just open this KML file with Google Earth: http://www.fox-fam.com/topos/topos.kmz More info on this project here: http://www.fox-fam.com/wordpress/?p=39 Matt
