I learned more in my 1 year working a few hours a week with Karl and Jerry than I did in library school. I'd recommend my school, U. Michigan, except they no longer have a "library" school (tell me HOW a food policy or how to deal with a leaky roof fits into "information"). Sorry, gotta rant now and then. I further suggest that if you want to become a map librarian, attend professional meetings (WAML is in Denver in a month) and get to know people. We're a fun bunch!! --chris > -------- Original Message -------- > Subject: Re: Library school recommendations > Date: Wed, 19 Sep 2007 15:00:48 -0400 > From: Abraham Parrish <[log in to unmask]> > To: Maps, Air Photo & Geospatial Systems Forum <[log in to unmask]> > > > > Susan, > > The University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee offers a dual degree program > in Library and Information Science and Geography (MA/MLIS).
