I have a faculty member who is looking for vendors that sell historic digital maps, specifically of Europe, France & Greece. I've looked at the University of Oregon's list of map publishers and distributors that I found through the ALA web site (http://libweb.uoregon.edu/map/mappublink.html), but the ones I know from the list do not sell digital copies. From what I understand, educational institutions are primarily the ones that are providing historical digital maps (and some government sites, although not many), often for free. However, if we wanted to add these maps to our CONTENTdm collections, wouldn't we have to own the maps or somehow purchase access? We're looking to start purchasing high resolution images, in this case maps, to add to our CONTENTdm collections. So we will order other images of maps in the future, and am hoping you could provide some guidance for me. John Repplinger -- John Repplinger Science Librarian Mark O.
