-------- Original Message -------- Subject: CNN Election Coverage GIS Date: Wed, 20 Feb 2008 12:32:01 -0800 From: Diaz, Carlos <[log in to unmask]> To: Maps-L (E-mail) <[log in to unmask]> Has anybody noticed the great looking graphics CNN has in its election coverage? Seems like they are able to zoom in and out of a map using touch technology and even able to write on the screen with your hands as well. CNN reporter John King is the one who is working the screen so well. He also is able to retrieve historical information from previous elections. I was wondering what kind of software they are using. Is this GIS or something different? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- ,-~~-.___. / | ' \ "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of ( ) 0 the few or the one." \_/-, ,----' ==== // Mr. Spock / \-'~; /~~~(O) Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan / __/~| / | =( _____| (_________| Carlos A.
