Date: Wed, 25 Feb 2009 14:09:04 -0500 From: Daniel O. Holmes <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] CC: Daniel O. Holmes <[log in to unmask]> As the Librarian for the David Rumsey Historical Map Collection, I am looking for any software tools to make it easier to translate or convert map catalog records created in FileMaker (which we can export as excel or text or others) to OCLC. Right now we use a very ponderous cut-and-paste procedure. It would be nice to export from FileMaker, tweek the file if necessary, and readily import a set of records to OCLC. Does OCLC have a means to accept such files ... a template? Does anyone have a program to facilitate such an approach? Is anyone doing this or something close? Thanks.
