From Australian Publisher, Millennium House re: EARTH the World's Largest Atlas

Dear map Librarians,

Greetings from Millennium House, publisher of EARTH the world’s most exquisite limited edition atlas ever to be produced.

Over 100 Cartographers, Geographers, Oceanographers, historians and scholars (bio’s attached) from around the world worked in tandem to produce this epic tome and the combined time investment equates to 62 man years! Each 20kg EARTH copy - made to order- is hand bound and hand numbered with a coinciding, numbered and signed Certificate of Authenticity and is housed in a matching leather bound, silk lined preservation case weighing 15kg. The pages of the Royal Blue edition are gilded in silver leaf and bound in a luxurious Royal Blue leather. The lining of the preservation case is a beautiful silver silk. This limited edition consists of 2000 copies only taking the equivalent of 62 man years to create and the printing plates of the entire collection will be destroyed following printing.

The latest purchaser is Princeton University who have recently taken possession of copy, No 378. Attached is a list (Where on earth is EARTH) of the public sites EARTH is throughout the world. Each copy of EARTH is RRP, USD $5800.00. As a tribute and gesture to the Universities and Mapping departments, Millennium House is extending a special price of $4900.00 which includes air delivery directly and on costs from our printer in Hong Kong for orders received by October 15 2010.

Books such as these, especially limited edition volumes of reference material, are time capsules of the state of things at that time in our history. An indelible record.
To this end their preservation is important. EARTH will one day be looked upon and judged by future generations. What we have gotten correct, what we did not, how things have changed.
To have such a volume in the State Library of South Australia is an expectation, a non-negotiable. Premium volumes of quality information require premium venues for their care and use.
The EARTH and State Library of South Australia match the criteria on both counts.”
State Library of South Australia

Our legacy can now be in your library serving as a time capsule of the world as it is today and a tribute to cartography, geography and oceanography. We welcome your enquiries and wish you a G’day. Enjoy the EARTH journey.
