For the exact reasons that Joel laid out -- serious concerns about privacy issues in particular. And yes, for me it is a generational thing too, but to a much lesser degree. Heck, I'm on LinkedIn and rarely use it either, so I'm happy to remain a member of this list because it has worked well for me over the many years it has been around.
